Sažetak
Nautical tourism is one of Croatia’s fastest growing tourism products. Owing to its natural features, Croatia has been recognized as an attractive nautical destination. The network of 22 modern ACI marinas has been developed over the past decades along the eastern shores of the Adriatic Sea. This is the biggest Mediterranean chain of marinas that provide standardized facilities and services. This paper discusses the business performance of one of them – the ACI marina situated in the city of Split. Mathematical approach is necessary to analyze the full potential of nautical tourism as these tools are used to perform calculations when planning, designing and constructing marinas. In addition, mathematical methods contribute to the enhancement of the business performance through creating and processing of various statistical data, profit and loss calculation, remuneration calculation, following the throughput of boats in marinas, etc.
