Sažetak
The aim of research is analysis of shield effectiveness (SE) of conductive polyester fabric coated with Ni/Cu fabric intended for drapes and wall coverings, as protection barrier from electromagnetic microwave irradiation. SE was evaluated prior to and after ten cycles of tamping and soaking with special liquid detergent usable for textiles designed for electromagnetic shielding purposes. SE was done on the face and on the back of the fabric, prior to and after the first, third, fifth, seventh and tenth cycles of soaking and tamping, at the frequencies 0.9 GHz, 1.8 GHz and 2.4 GHz. The obtained results indicated that SE of the conductive fabric was reduced after washing, especially after 5 cycles. The results also revealed that SE properties of conductive Ni/Cu fabric can be preserved if mechanical input is less as possible.
