Sažetak
This paper analyses the letters of intellectuals from Rijeka, such as Osvaldo Ramous, Antonio Widmar, Enrico Morovich, which demonstrate their relationship to identity, determined primarily by the unique environment in which they grew up and gained their education. The specificity of Rijeka at the beginning of the 20th century is the multiculturalism of a city that has a long tradition of multilingualism and in just a few decades changes five times the political system.
