Sažetak
The paper deals with the correlation between knowledge, competency education and entrepreneurship education as the necessary requisites of the individual, social and economic progress. The analysis of the national strategic documents concerned with the entrepreneurial competencies as integrated in Croatian education system enables a more thorough insight into the perspective according to which the education and man should assume the central position in the postmodern and post-industrial age. Furthermore, the notion of entrepreneurship education is regarded both from a theoretical and a humanistic perspective, as being implemented in most of the national strategic documents, with emphasis on its inability to meet the requirements of the proper, man-oriented education. The paper provides an answer directed towards the integral and man-oriented humanistic approach to education which implies the skills, characteristics and values of man fostered precisely by the entrepreneurship education. In the end, a different view of the postmodernist and post-industrial interpretation of the concepts essential to understanding the human condition of that time is offered.
