Sažetak
The gender wage gap, although investigated for a number of decades, remains an area of active and innovative research. Previous researches show relatively low observed gender wage gap in most of the countries of Central and Eastern Europe, including Croatia. However, researches of this issue in Croatia are limited to just a few papers and it is still under-researched area. The goal of this paper is to explore the gender wage gap in Croatian manufacturing industry. Decomposition analysis is applied to the Labour Force Survey microdata in order to identify the elements influencing the gender wage gap in the period 2003 – 2013. The research identified that there are significant differences between males and females regarding selected personal and professional characteristics. Even though the analysis of data revealed the existence of gender wage gap during the observed period of time, the results suggest that there are no significant changes in its amount.
