Sažetak
Rethinking the relations and significance of the Adriatic space and life-worlds: to the Euro-Mediterranean in whole and to the South East Europe. Adriatic has common environmental opportunities and constraints ; common lifestyles and livelihoods ; common cultural diversities and common cultural landscapes with the Mediterranean in whole. It also has unique position towards the deep SEE hinterland ; unique position towards the rest of Europe, particuarly Central Europe – the deepest incision of the Mediterranean into the European land ; unique position on the historical routes an liaisons between E- W and N-S. The lecture discusses and explores 1. The Position and significance of the Adriatic within the Euro-Mediterranean ; 2. Cultural landscape as a pivot of the identitity ; 3. Cultural landscape as a tourism brand ; 4.Environmental implications of tourism and littoralization.
