Sažetak
Shipyards face the problem of determining the cost of producing technical documentation in relation to the level of information that it contributes to the shipbuilding process. Technical documentation with low content and level of information can be made in relatively short terms and at low cost, but as such could adversely affect the manufacturing process of shipbuilding. High level of information and content of technical documentation increases and extends the time of its production, but provides more complete production information. Therefore, this paper analyses the approach of producing technical documentation in two shipyards with different technological and organizational models of shipbuilding. The authors further analyses the possible improvement of the process of producing technical documentation regarding the details, sequences, relevance and timeliness of the production documentation, as well as suggestions for future research, especially in the area of risk analysis of the various concepts of technical documentation.
