Sažetak
The role of sport psychologist is to help all sport participants to achieve their full potential and to express it when it is necessary- on the competition. Sport psychology professionals do not work only with athletes who experience certain problems but also work with those who want to be better, more satisfied and enjoy their sport. To achieve these goals while working with young athletes it is necessary that sport psychologists are very creative and open but also very sensitive. Therefore, the aim of this article is to present one sport psychology preparation model which has been successfully implemented with young judo players in group settings. The program consists of four group workshops for athletes (anxiety, self-confidence, concentration and competition preparation), one workshop for parents and one for coaches. The overall outline of the psychological preparation program is briefly presented in the article in order to demonstrate how basic psychological skills training and psychoeducation can be introduced to the athletes at the beginning of their sport career, as well as to their coaches and parents.
