Sažetak
The area of Međimurje County, with its climatic- geographical conditions, represents unique area for production of balack locust and flower honey in the Republic of Croatia. Except of black locust and flower honey, in area of Međimurje county, due to its significance and specifity, pumpkin honey and impatiens honey stand out. In area of County there are two beekeeping associations with a total of 256 beekeepers, who own 8460 beehives. The averega honey production per beehive is about 20 kg. Honey compettiton in Međimurje county exist 11 years and promotes the specifity and quality of honey. The idea of beekeeping associations is the protection of the county brand called ''Med z međimurskih cvetnjaka''.
