Sažetak
BackgroundEarly childhood education is the best way to adopt healthy lifestyle. MethodsThrough a series of interactive games, demonstrations, workshops, theatre plays, books and other educational materials, children have been able to learn about healthy lifestyle, importance of hygiene, disease prevention and other beneficial health advice they can receive from their pharmacist.ResultsIn collaboration with other healthcare professionals, young and future pharmacists have conducted numerous projects and a series of public health campaigns nationwide on the importance of hygiene (demonstration of proper hand washing and importance of body and personal hygiene), world of microbes, prevention and treatment of cold and flu, proper antibiotic use, healthy and balanced diet as a prevention of obesity and type II diabetes, and the role of a pharmacist as an expert on medicines and the most accessible health professional. ConclusionYoung and future pharmacists wanted to take a pro-active role and go out to the community, start the education of the youngest members of our society - children, as the best method for prevention of different diseases and pahtway to a healthy life.
