Sažetak
The effect of two plant oil-enriched diets on the liver mineral status during liver regeneration was analyzed. Mice were fed diets enriched with corn oil (FCO) or olive oil (FOO) with control group on standard diet (FSD). 1st, 2nd and 7th day after partial hepatectomy animals were sacrificed and the microwave digestion of samples was performed. Minerals were determined by inductively coupled plasma spectrometry. Results are given in mg/g dry tissue ; p<0.05. Zinc content increased in FSD mice [126.8± ; 21.5 (1st day), 99.6± ; 9.0 (2nd day), 90.8± ; 14.2 (7th day) vs. 75.1± ; 4.2 (intact)]. Also, zinc was increased in FOO mice [100.6± ; 16.4 (1st day), 103.5± ; 18.5 (2nd day) vs. 74.4± ; 2.3 (intact)]. First day inhibition of zinc accumulation in FCO mice (126.8± ; 21.5), compared to FSD mice (94.4± ; 6.3), was observed. The calcium content increased first day in FOO [322.6± ; 66.7 vs. 205.8± ; 4.6 (intact)] and FSD mice [268.0± ; 19.8 vs. 146.7± ; 27.2 (intact)]. At the same time, inhibition of calcium accumulation in FCO mice (211.7± ; 53.6), compared to FOO mice (322.6± ; 66.7), occured. The iron content increased in FOO mice [234.5± ; 33.6 (1st day), 240.3± ; 27.0 (2nd day) vs. 193.5± ; 6.7 (intact)]. Diets enriched by unsaturated fatty acids alter zinc, calcium and iron, but not magnesium content in liver during liver regeneration.
