Sažetak
System of traffic infrastructure is one of the key factors, which mutually and manifoldly has an impact of economical, social and areas development of specific territory and also entire country. In that order Republic of Croatia plans to invest around 17 billions USD for period 2000. – 2020. in building new and maintaining existing governmental, provincial and local roads. In this writing it was tried to explore impacts of each expense in the scale of charges first on the contracted and then on the really achieved costs in the project of road construction. With definition of significant expense activities and with comparative analysis of gathered results it was tried to make procedure of management the costs in project of road construction simpler and more accurate. In connection with distinctive financial funds that should be planed, and bad reputation of construction industry in order of realization the contracted deadlines and cost, it was tried to suggest the model for management of project which could reduce negative impact of exceeded construction cost.
