Sažetak
The installation Interactions questions the dynamic set of relations between sensing and acting, between the body and the artistic production, interlaying materialized fragments of visual notions and photographic segments of the body that generates them. Fragile, vulnerable, unreliable and at the same time strong, poignant and creative mechanism of the body is the root of images. With seemingly unlimited internal mental animation that is difficult to localize, if we should paraphrase Antonio Damasio, the body produces images in communication with the world around it. Visual contemplations arise with regard to the time and space of the body, trough activities that in different shape materialize the complex relationship between the subject and the surrounding. The context of perception and understanding reality is strongly affected by the somatic character of the body, not merely its intellectual potentials and the installation desires to reflect it. The photographs of the bare body, of skin and flesh, exposed to the gaze of the other implicate the body as a biological fact. They do not aspire to problematize the feminine body as the object of desire, but address the body as a communication field - the place of generating and registering experiences through various kind of interactions. Wanting to reflect mutual influences among the body and its actions, I was creating images of a body marked by the traces of artistic production. The segmented images of the body are layered with fabricated images - mediated trough imagination, memory, and perception - interconnected in an inextricable loop. Installation is considered as open, incomplete, interchangeable web of relations with unstable balance.
