Contemporary terrorism is characterized by new trends and traits, resultin from the developments of tecnology, of global processes, biut also of the adaptations of the terrorist organizations themselves to operating in the conditionsnof active anti-terrorism campaigns conducted against them bay the powers that be, and also numeorus undartaken by the states within their respective national borders. The objective of this article is to present new trend in terrorism, stil considered one of the major treats to world peace and national security and consequently to the stability, needed bay the corporations and the economy enviromental for their normal functioning. Further, the goal is to determine if the exsisting counter terrorism mechanism may effectively respond to new forms of terrorist activities.
