Sažetak
In the 1980s, building archaeology developed in several countries. In France, this historiographic moment had a special dimension because of the importance given to historic monuments as an institution. The monument church, which was at the centre of several programs, revealed to the researchers the epicenter of the west, both in medieval and modern society. Through its complexity, building archaeology from materials continues to raise historical questions today
