Sažetak
Several capitals are preserved in situ at Saint-Pierre-L’Estrier in Autun (Saône-et-Loire, France) as well as in the Musée Rolin ; they display an identical style and show signs of the work of the same workshop. Their execution that can be dated in the beginning of the 11th century marks one of the notable changes in the inventive process of the Romanesque capital. The care taken in these compositions and their implementation is outstanding amongst many isolated known capitals. Along with the workshops of Tournus or Flavigny, this series testifies to the vital creativity specific for this first Romanesque period
