Sažetak
Traffic system and it´s enhancement with the use of new technologies is an important element in the future development of cities. In the near future development toward traffic with autonomous vehicles is expected. Those vehicles can have a different level of autonomy but fully autonomous vehicles will result in great changes of traffic systems as well as standards for traffic infrastructure design. In this paper, a short overview of existing studies in the field of development and implementation, as well as the challenges in introducing autonomous cars, will be presented. In the paper, the results of survey named “Smart mobility survey”, done in Croatia but also internationally, and the comparison of the results are presented.
