Sažetak
Row crop weed vegetation in northeastern Croatian fields received remarkable changes over the past several decades. The weed community structure shows a trend of increasing cover-abundance values of few species, particularly invasive common ragweed (Ambrosia artemisiifolia L.). Some new, also noxious and invasive weeds like velvet leaf (Abutilon theophrasti Medik.) and common cocklebur (Xanthium strumarium L.) has high cover abundance values in recent years, but has not been recorded in the past survey. Crop type has been significantly affected floristic composition in recent survey, while in the past it was less pronounced between weed community in sunflower and sugar beet. Geographical gradient influenced weed species distribution in both surveys, however, weeds community in the west and north sample stands seems to be more similar now-days than it was in the past.
