Sažetak
Privatization is a new paradigm of development with a number of goals associated with creating the precondition for a company's improved efficiency. In economies undergoing a privatization program, the success of companies at the individual level is determined in part by the level of the adoption of a market orientation. Research result strongly suggest that the privatization program, as structured in Croatia, has produced increasing levels of market orientation in companies. This outcome held true for each of the different facets of market orientation. Additionally, bringing in new members of the management team had the effect of significantly enhancing the firm's market orientation. Croatia's privatization program is producing stability and growth in its economy and an environment that is becoming more closely aligned with other global markets.
