Sažetak
Kosovo has entered in new politic and economic phase. As newest state in Europe it has it has its own requests for overall country development. Clear aim in economic development is development and application of modern methodologies in usage of mineral resources respectively building materials especially those of industry, building and infrastructure. Based on the law, because of impact in environment, exploration of sands and gavel from the rivers is being stopped more and more. Also requests for opening new stone excavation plants are increasing (small mineral operations). However this field imposes the need for governmental managing institutions to apply ways and methodologies for recognition and follow­ups of the exploitation, in scientific and professional way. During these managing phases on basis of calculation of used reserves , operational parties in these field will be charged with taxes foe usage as well as being obliged to rehabilitate and re­cultivate exploited zones. In order to have precise and professional knowledge on exploited reserves, we use GIS methods (Geographic Informative System), polar geodesy methods by using GPS, technology as well as data processing with necessary software programs. Measurements are based in governmental coordinative system KOSOVAREF 01, which is harmonised with EUREF. Application of these methods strongly helps the economy of the companies which work in these fields, systematic follow­ups of exploitation of resources, calculation of the storages . The above mentioned issues we will elaborate within this scientific proceeding by illustrating with concrete examples done at , , TRASING GROUP” quarry in Drenas.
