Sažetak
In mobile communication networks, the latest LTE Advanced technology is being introduced. This technology, among other, deploys multiple- input and multiple-output transmissions which means that one mobile phone could connect to several transmitters at the same time. This enables increased data rate in a certain period of time. The first question to impose itself is which methods are going to be used for measurements of total high frequency (HF) electromagnetic fields (EMF) generated from LTE Advanced technology. Also, how the contribution from one mobile operator to total HF EMF will be measured. Another issue is protection of human health in places where high density of LTE Advanced technology will be installed. Ultimately, is it necessary to change existing Croatian and European legislation because of implementation of LTE Advanced platform into mobile communication network?
