Sažetak
Wastewater is a very complex and the most diffucult problem as concerns tannery wastes. During the wastewater treatment, two types of sludge are generated. The experiments were divided into: Mixing of lime and chrome tanning wastewaters, precipitation with Al2SO3 and anionic polyelectrolyte, dissolving of chromium compounds in sludge. It was concluded that separation of chromium from sludge could be done by acids, and that high exhause yields can be achieved. The best result of 95% chromium separation was obtained by adding 20 ml H2SO4 (1:1) into 300 ml of sludge, and this quantity was marked as optimal concentration.
