The paper examines the usage of art as an instrument of cultural diplomacy conducted by the United States and Yugoslavia during the Cold War. While current research tends to focus on a ''one-way'' direction of cultural diplomacy, namely from the United States to other countries, this paper will examine the reciprocity of artistic exchanges from the United States to Yugoslavia and vice versa
