Sažetak
With the ongoing problem of air pollution and CO2 emission generated from the traffic system and in accordance with the EU policies regarding air pollution, many cities are implementing measures for the reduction of the negative environmental impacts. The intention is to release city centres from the big traffic demand and promote alternative, sustainable modes of transportation by giving them priority over individual transport which is highest polluter. The purpose of this article is to show example of the methodological approach to the implementation of measures for the reorganization of the road infrastructure in favour of non-motorized modes. Main steps toward the more effective and sustainable mobility system are presented through the Case Study.
