Sažetak
The maritime development strategy in the Republic of Croatia proceeds from the basic premise to theoretically organize the contents and methods of applications for the functioning of all segments of the maritime system in such a way as to maintain and safeguard all those segments. The project analyzes the basic segments that define and determine the maritime system: legal problems, seaports, maritime shipping, inland connection traffic problems, integration of the traffic system and logistics, safety of navigation, education and training of seafarers, marine environmental protection, exploiting the sea and the sea bed. The basis of development of the maritime system lies in the theoretical organization of a maritime policy governed by pertinent legal provisions. In this sense the enactment of a law on maritime domain is proposed, as well as a fundamental amendments to the law on seaports.
