Sažetak
Between 1997 and 2001 the authors conducted an extensive scientific research project, &#8220 ; ; The Development of IT Application in Croatian Construction&#8221 ; ; . In this paper they present the main results and analysis of the above research. The research results are processed according to relative indicators showing the sharacteristics of the otganization: total annual revenue per employee (category), percent of total revenue as IT investment, quantity of hardware used, application portfolio and network application and some other indicators. Through description of the project&#8217 ; ; s development stages the authors indicate possible reasons for unsatisfactory information technology application in Croatia. Based on research results the authors present recommendations for future improvements in IT application in construction project management.
