Sažetak
The subject of analysis in this paper are contemporary trends which develop in world hotel industry, with emphasis on a specific field which refferrs to interrelation betwrrn fashion design as a contemporary trend, and the hotel industry. Clients who use the benefits of contemporary fashion industry often use services of the hotel opened by business institutions of a certain fashion brand which they turn into a catering establishment. Services in such contemporary catering establishments are used by clients of high purchasing power who can afford such luxury and the corresponding lifestyle. Modern man nowadays travels much more in his lifetime than it was the case in the past. H1: Fashion designers began opening hotels as a part of the extended offer along their existing brands. They design not only clothes but also the areas where we live and work, restaurants where we eat well as holidays hotels. Everything becomes a brand today. PH1: Everything with the designer logo sells well. A new "fashio victim" generation is created as a product of the consumer society where everything needs to be labeled in order to be widely accepted. The same applies to fashion brand hotels that are becoming a hit worldwide with successful management and full capacities throughout the year. PH2: All mayor brands plan to expand as chain hotels to the biggest city centres in the world. Among the first one opened are: Versace with Palazzo Versace at the Goldan Coast in Australia and Dubai, Bulgari in Milan and Bali with a restaurant in Tokio, Giorgio Armani in Dubai (Burj Dubai) together with this year's opening announced in Milan, Ferragamo in Florence under the label Lungarno and in Rome, Karl Lagerfeld is negotiating a hotel opening in Dubai on Fashen Island, Missioni in Edinburgh.
