Sažetak
Thematic maps are cartographic representations of the most various themes that are directly connected with the space. Thematic maps got enormous significance in the 20th century because it was necessary to recognise and explore resources and optimal organisation of numerous human activities. One topographic map can be accompanied by the tenths of thematic maps. In order to carry out various analyses it is not enough to have classical representation on a paper map, but one has to create geoinformation systems. The results of adequate analyses are usually represented in the form of thematic maps. The implemented research is illustrated on tram and bus traffic in Zagreb. For the production of GIS the program AutoCAD Map, cartographic an GIS version of the famous AutoCAD, has been selected.
