Sažetak
In formal terms, women have access to education and participate in public life, but they often do not really want to be managers and renounce the uncertain struggle for social status. Instead, they choose safer, more comfortable and socially more recognised „female“ roles in the shadow of men. Women are, for various reasons, often unaware of their unequal position ; what is more, they prefer and do not oppose discriminatory practices. They even themselves institutionally carry out and advocate practices that dicriminate against other women. The key is in female solidarity. Female solidarity should be strengthened on daily basis, because men are much more focused on networking, i.e. they work in lobbies. At the institutional level, there are male power centres and lobbies (old boys' clubs), where a common pattern of behaviour completely opposes the practice of transparent and fair decision-making on employment and promotion. Legal regulation of women's quota proved to be most effective. Although self-regulatory measures are good, they are not carried out of one's own initiative. The percentages and number of female representatives in political, legislative and executive bodies do not mean much until these women learn to function according to feminist principles and truly begin to advocate community and social welfare.
