Sažetak
Monitoring of the pipeline route and the pipeline is extremely important safety operation. Technological development has enabled the application of new solutions in the surveillance system and facilitated the development of a 3D map of the pipeline route. Significant improvement has been the application of the following technological solutions: ■ use aircraft to create a new generation of digital images and display the route of the pipeline ; ■ use aircraft with built-in sensors to detect and record outside the visible spectrum. Due to negative local specifics (omnipresent in the Republic of Croatia), such as illegal building activities and placing of waste in the protected zone of the pipeline, authors of this article suggest the implementation of the Lean management tools to build a monitoring system that can be activated in a timely manner in accordance with the needs of preventive procedures. In particular, the intention of this paper is to point out the importance of the safety aspects of ongoing supervision of the pipeline route. It is also important to note that the new generation of drone recordings with an automatic production of 3D images of the route, significantly facilitates the definition of new pipeline. Consequently, the aim of this paper is to present the current technological solutions and validity of implementation through Lean management.
