Sažetak
Recently the railways have been receiving an increasing number of complaintsby people living along the railway lines or above its underground lines. The disturbances are caused mainly due to direct emission of noise and vibrations from the railway lines or from the noise caused by vibrations of walls of the buildings along the line. The paper deals with vibrations caused by forces acting between the train wheels and the tracks, their propagation through the ground and ways of reducing them.
