Sažetak
Various programs offered by European organizations require participants to develop their English language knowledge and communication skills. With that in mind, at University North, Croatia, it has been decided to organize an English language course for employees. In order to design the course to suit the needs of its participants, the necessary needs analysis was conducted using a questionnaire. The answers were used to form groups based on the level of English but taking into consideration specific learners’ needs. The basis of the course will be Academic English since the majority of participants are non-language university teachers, but elements of General and Business English will be included to be in line with the learners’ expectations. Teaching materials for the course will be chosen and adapted by the teacher to individualize the course as much as possible.
