Sažetak
The autors explore the trends and characteristics of unemployment in Croatia for the period after 1990 and in particular the period from 1995-1999. They then go on to analyze the influence of small-scale industry and family enterprises, as one of its segments, on the proceses of employment in the given period, asserting that they are both key sources for new jobs and that the initial extremely positive trends of influence on employment slackened after 1995. The autors suggest measures and activities that could possibly stimulate faster development of small-scale industry and family enterprices. With that in mind, it would be possible to start more significant processes of new employment and alleviate the problem of unemployment in Croatia.
