Sažetak
Traditionally, public sectors have been responsible for the procurement, operation and regulation of capital assets. The new procurement routes provide the means of directly involving the private sector in initial facility provision and in subsequent operation and service. A brief description of the principles of the procurement process is given. The long-term partnerships require fundamental reassessment of appropriate project management strategies and add new roles to the team responsible for managing and co-ordination of the whole - life process of planning, design, construction and management of facilities. This paper addresses the effect of the new procurement on the roles of project manager.
