Sažetak
Environmentally procedure for the synthesis of 5-arylidenerhodanines by Knoevenagel condensation of rhodanine with aromatic aldehydes using deep eutectic solvent choline chloride:urea is described. This environmentally friendly and catalyst free approach was shown to be effective in above-mentioned condensation. The procedure includes short reaction times for a few minutes, mild conditions, simple experimental work and high product yields.
