Sažetak
The paper presents results from the study investigating impact of gender and age on students’ academic success. Students from Department of Professional Studies, University of Split, Zagreb teaching centre, who attended 2008/2009, 2009/2010, and 2010/2011 classes participated in our study. Fischer test and t- test were used to analyse the data in Microsoft Excel. Although results show that female students have higher grade point average in 30 out of 34 subjects, statistically significant differences were found in 8 subjects. The sample was split in younger (under 30 years of age) and older (over 30 years of age) groups and results show that older students have higher grade point average in 28 out of 34 subjects. Statistically significant differences were found in 9 of these subjects.
