Sažetak
The working quality of mineral fertilizer distributors depends greatly on the technical level of some of their systems. With pneumatic distributors the process of distribution starts with sowing rollers for mineral fertilizer exclusion. When working with one of the most commonly used pneumatic distributor in the Republic of Croatia, working deviation of a roller expressed by the coefficient of variation varies from 0.90. - 1.93%. Differences in deviation among sowing rollers are bigger, sometimes up to 2.35%. Variation in number of revolutions in range from 5 - 45 per minute does not influence the quantity of excluded mass per a revolution. It is proved by low intensity correlation (r =0.143). Most of granules in NPK fertilizer (8:26:26) are 3.1- 5.0 mm in diametar. Urea is characterized by granules 2-3mm in diameter, whereas granules contained in CAN fertilizer vary in their size considerably. The quality of surface distribution of mineral fertilizers is influenced by wind speed considerably. At the air speed of 1-2 m/s vertically on the distributor working direction 59.37% of distributed fertilizer will be swerved up to 15 cm from the intended site. The rest (40.63%) is swerved up to 75 cm. At the wind speed of 2 - 3 m/s 51.0% distributed fertilizer mass stay within range of 15 cm. If the wind speed is increased to 4.5m/s, the working quality becomes lower. In such conditions only 2.8% fertilizer stay within range of 15 cm, and most of it (66.94%) is diverted some 15.1-30 cm.
