Sažetak
This paper describes communication between the end user and the IMS. It brings a short introduction to IP Multimedia Subsystem and Session Initiation Protocol. It describes the architecture of IMS, as well as some of the key elements and their functionalities. It also gives a brief overview of certain SIP requests, responses and header fields. Special emphasis was placed on the communication during the registration process. The purpose was to test that connection in different conditions that were dictated by variable parameters of the Poisson process. Third chapter presents the test results in graphical and numerical form and gives us insight into the functioning of the both, the user agent and the IMS.
