Sažetak
This thesis describes basic LTE, IMS and SIP concepts. At first the introduction to the LTE is given trough the mobile system evolution. Brief overview of the LTE entities is also given, while the IMS is in particular described in its section. Section about IMS includes example of an IMS service, IMS architecture, communication between its entities and user identification concepts. Registration procedure and session initiation procedure are described in their subsections. As the SIP protocol is used for the communication between IMS control function entities, its basic concepts are also described including the examples of routing the SIP messages inside the IMS. For the purpose of SIP traffic measurement, the SIP User Agent, which is used to establish a connection to an existing IMS network, is developed.
