Sažetak
Gluten-free diet is a rapidly growing trend, not only followed by coeliac patients, but also by general health-conscious consumers. Food producers try to keep step and serve the changing consumer demands ; however- beyond their own sales volume – information about the consumers' satisfaction and further needs are not always familiar. Thus in this paper recognition of gluten-free consumption habits, as well as the exploration of the consumers ‘product preference was aimed. For this purpose a self-administered questionnaire survey was conducted in some Centre European countries. This presentation will look at the consumers' – having gluten-free diet – consumption and purchasing habits, highlighting some of the key inhibitory factors and potential future products development directions, as well as identifying some country specific features.
