Sažetak
In the today’s world of international communication and global movements, English language has taken a leading position on the list of the world languages and its knowledge has become an imperative. The always growing internationalization of English language has turned the English terminology into a synonym for the new, up to date and often something not completely translatable. With the new findings from various fields from human lives, different English terms and vocabulary have been entering into Croatian language, leaving often the great burden of understanding and interpretation back to the listener. In this paper we are going to present some of the many examples trying to explain the most frequently used terminology from the world of business, tourism and the economics by highlighting the words of the English origin that have made part of Croatian language. We have been particularly attracted by those that have assimilated in Croatian language while their translation is not always and cannot always be translatable and completely comprehended without the understanding of the cultural background difference of those two languages.
