Sažetak
The paper presents the issue of water management in the City of Zagreb through two aspects - as a threat from the flooding of the Sava River over the surrounding urban area, and through water management as a natural resource essential to everyday life. These two segments are represented as important factors to be taken into account when assessing possible endangerment of population, material and cultural goods and the environment from dangers, emergence and consequences of disasters and major accidents.
