Sažetak
Trade policy of the EU goes from liberal trade between member countries and mutual trade policy towards non-member countries. Mutual trade policy with its instruments regulates exchange of EU and non-members countries. It is led differently towards individual economic branches and towards some partners and competitors on the world market. Naturally, the closesset agreements are one with neighbours in a range of EEA. Convention LomÈ has made close contact of the EU with old colonies of member countries in Africa, Caribbees and Pacific. Then there are association agreements with ten countries of Central and Eastern Europe whose goal is easying the transition process and joining the Union. After that there were signed partnership agreements with a goal of introducing free exchange with an ex Soviet Union countries. Futhermore, EU has conclude partnership agreement with countries of South and East Mediterranean whose goal is creation of “Euromediterranean” agreement which will enable exchange between all members. Besides these traditional areas, EU negotiates free trade with middle and Far East countries, builds and develops relations with three NAFTA countries, and already has interregional agreements with Latin American countries. After a period of stagnation, Croatia has made remarkable results in its endeavour to join EU. Unilateral opening of EU market for Croatian products shows positive attitude of the EU towards Croatia and encourages Croatia to fasten its activities in that direction.
