Sažetak
A patient 64 years old, the retired worker of the ironworks, wos sent to a neurologist because of the right shoulder „contracture". Neurological examination disclosed atrophy of the rlght shoulder muscles and the right brachial biceps, and the right hand was swelled. The motility of the shoulder was reduced. He reported hypoalgesia in the in the C5-C6 dermatomes on the right Electro-myography registered the full loss cf motoneurons in the right deltoid muscle, with the finding of the sponioneous activity. ln the sense of rare fibrillations, while in the riqht brarchial biceps there was a sample of single 2-3 mV potentials, with the mean speed of discharge. The patient received a pulse methylprednisolone therapy of 500 mg in 5% glucose within 5 days, what resulted in lessening of the right hand swelling. At the control electro-myographic testing five months later we recorded scattered innervation sample of wider and poliphasic action potentials with separation of the 3 mV omplitude discharges. The recovery, observed electromyographically, was also seen in the improved shoulder muscles trophi city crnd better motillty of the right shoulder.
