Sažetak
We study the ground state phase diagram of a two-band model for halogen-bridged mixed-valence transition metal linear chain complexes (MX chains). A simple two band discrete tight-binding Peierls-Hubbard model has proven useful in understanding there materials. We consider the effects of correlations (using both Hubbard and PPP-like expressions) and quantum phonons. The long period phase which occurs even at commensurate filling for certain parameter values is also discussed.
