Sažetak
This paper is concerned with the optimization of mold cavity-wall thickness as a component part of the calculation of heat exchange in molds for injection molding of plastomers. The described process of thickness-defining satisfies many demands which were defined by numerous authors in their work. By making of optimizing-algorithm special attention was paid to practically proved theoretical experiences. Firstly, it is desirable that heat exchange channels be as far as possible from the mold cavity-wall surface in touch with melt. Secondly, molds are as a rule composed of metals which are, for two orders of magnitude, better heat conductors than the plastomers which the molding is made from.
