Sažetak
In some commutative rings with the unity, we explain how to verify the conjecture on the existence of Diophantine quadruples with the property D(w), i.e. four-elements sets with the property that the product of each two distinct elements increased by w is a perfect square. The conjecture states that a Diophantine quadruple with the property D(w) exists if and only if w can be represented as a difference of two squares of elements from the ring. The verification includes characterizations of elements that can be represented as difference of two squares and implementations of some polynomial formulas for Diophantine quadruples.
