Sažetak
The aim of this paper was to investigate the features of murderers who had been tempore criminis intoxicated with alcohol, according to following variables: homicide rate in the period from 1988-2003, sex, age, education, work status, marital status and regional distribution in the republic of Croatia. The analy<sis has been done on data from the database of blood crimes of the Ministry of Interior Affairs of the Republic of Croatia (MUP), in the period from 1988-2003.In this period, 5.518 homicides were made, and from that number, the perpetrators intoxicated with alcohol tempore criminis were respesented with 1.127 homicides (20.5%). The ratio of those intoxicated with alcohol vs. those who were not intoxicated with alcohol tempore criminis equals 1:5. The murderers who were intoxicated wuth alcohol tempore criminis are more frequently of lower education, unemployed, older and married.
