Sažetak
Information and communication technology (ICT), as a generator of changes in all spheres of the society, should also be the basis for the economic and social development of Croatia. All citizens should be able to have access to information and knowledge, but should also be given an opportunity to create new information and knowledge. GDP rate per capita is highly correlated with the education degree and education funding, since technology can be used for economic growth only if there exists an educated work force. Therefore, it is necessary to achieve a high annual production of experts that would create and use new technologies.
