Sažetak
In this paper a concept of naval aeroponic and sea food facility is presented. Due to large world population growth and future food demand, some sustainable and renewable energy based food production concepts needed. Concept is based on the Sun tracking large cruising ship, equipped with aeroponic greenhouses slowly cruising on the sea. During cruising plants are growing and harvesting, even packing and delivering to the nearest markets. If plants demands fast growing then ship can cruise in Equatorial area, thus boost Sun energy into plants via photosynthesis process. The ship can also use solar and wind energy for powering thus cruising with zero emission. Because of their mobility, the ship has the ability to avoid adverse weather and especially the critical atmospheric phenomena (storms, tornadoes, hurricanes etc.). First analysis indicate that other food production can be applied such as fishes, shells and crabs inside of the ship, in internal basins or even ballast basins. The ship can cruise in closure of the large coastal cities or harbors e.g. near large food markets to minimize transportation costs. Thus the concept becomes efficient and mobile hybrid food production factory, using renewable energy sources for cruising and production as well as zero-emission facility.
